I can't speak for why the GameCapture HD stream command software isn't working well enough.Īssuming I can't get my elgato working how I want to (I'm still trying to install windows on my mac to try it through the windows side, which I should be able to test today) what would be my best option for an external capture card that works well with Mac? Ideally, I'd like one that can work well with OBS. I've since learned that Mac's have trouble with streaming with Elgato and OBS, mainly that the window capture and display capture options don't work fast enough to reliably capture gameplay that way. As a macbook pro owner, I recently got an Eglato Game Capture HD and for the life of me can't get it running smoothly enough through OBS or even through their own GameCapture HD software to make a Twitch stream viable. I'm trying to use an external capture card to stream my Xbox one gameplay to twitch with a simple webcam overlay. Thanks to /u/iTruthful and Conceptional for the art!
